Max Pollard has served as President of Alembic Point of Sale since its inception in 2004. In founding Alembic, Mr. Pollard was able to combine his knowledge of the POS industry with his technical education and expertise.
Mr. Pollard began his career with the U.S. Navy as an Electronics Technician, where he worked with first generation personal computers. While attending the University of Denver, Mr. Pollard mastered computer networking while consulting at DU’s NeXT Computer Lab and directing technical operations at Alembic Systems International. Mr. Pollard holds a degree in Business Statistics from the University of Denver.
When touchscreen computers began appearing at local bars and restaurants, Mr. Pollard recognized them as valuable business tools that would provide interesting technical challenges. In 1998, Mr. Pollard began working as Manager of Technical Services for CAB Computer Group, a local point of sale company that was later acquired by California-based US Computer Solutions (USCS). When the California group closed its doors, Mr. Pollard founded Alembic Point of Sale to continue serving the loyal customer base he had established.

Alembic Background
Founded in 2004, Alembic Point of Sale implements all aspects of POS installation, training, and service to small and mid-sized restaurants, retail operations, grocery stores, and small business offices.
In 1998, the highly competitive restaurant and retail markets began to demand highly scalable point of sale systems. Max Pollard answered the call and entered the POS industry to install and support a wide variety of operations running a dozen different software programs with hundreds of different hardware configurations. Over the next few years, the Denver market developed and the original Alembic customer base formed.
In 2004, Alembic was honored to accept a partnership with Microsoft to provide the Microsoft Retail Management System. Alembic also became a certified provider of Restaurant Manager, the leading wireless handheld POS solution. Alembic’s commitment to implementing reliable, cost-effective POS solutions has formed a customer base that trusts Max Pollard to fix their problems EVERY time.
